Milkweed and Monarch Butterfly Mania

Milkweed Tiger Moth
aka Milkweed Tussock Moth

Euchaetes egle

These brightly colored caterpillars made me think of Halloween. They have black, yellow and white tufts of hairs.

I usually find several of them on one milkweed plant.

They will eat all the leaves in no time at all.

Think about it - What would this mean for a monarch caterpillar on the same plant?
