Milkweed Tiger Moth
aka Milkweed Tussock Moth
Euchaetes egle
These brightly colored caterpillars made me think
of Halloween. They have black, yellow and white tufts of hairs.
I usually find several of them on one milkweed
plant.
They will eat all the leaves in no time at all.
Think about it - What would this mean for a monarch caterpillar on the same plant?
